Welcome to 3rd grade!
Thank you for entrusting your child with us this year. I cannot wait to meet you and launch into learning together. I promise and enriching and productive school year with you and your child.
I believe that communication is the key to a successful classroom experience. Your child will be bringing home a daily planner that will be used for quick reminders and homework assignments.
My door is always open. If you have anything to share don't hesitate to email me at [email protected] or text me at 209777-5877.
Homework Policy
Hello, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Paulie Gonzalez. I am not new to Planada Elementary School however, I am new to 3rd grade. I started teaching 1st grade for this district in 1997, where I remained for 3 years. My life changed drastically in 2000 when a kindergarten position opened up and I immediately jumped on the opportunity to teach such a wonderful grade level, where I remained for the last 16 years. It is now 2016, and I am currently a 3rd grade teacher. I'm enjoying this wonderful year. The students are kind, considerate, and extremely respectful.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my 2 lovely teenage kids. I also enjoy playing softball when I am not watching my daughter play soccer or my son play baseball.
My goal as a teacher is to help each of my students to reach his or her fullest potential and to instill in them a love for learning. I will respect each child as an individual and offer concern and understanding for their problems. I will work my hardest to help each student achieve the goals of the academic content standards set by Common Core.
Your support is important to the success of your child in meeting these expectations as well.
I am looking forward to an exciting year!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Paulie Gonzalez
